A major step forward for human rights in DR Congo: Adoption of the law protecting human rights defenders
Law no. 23/027 guarantees the security and accountability of human rights defenders, marking a historic turning point for social justice in the DRC. On 15 June 2023, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) took a crucial step in the protection of human rights by adopting law no. 23/027 on the protection of human rights defenders.
