Like a flamboyant epic, Dakar Fashion Week celebrated its twentieth anniversary in style, spreading the brilliance of African fashion to the four corners of the globe. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes of history, the event illuminated the emblematic island of Gorée, a living testimony to the memory of the slave trade, but also a vibrant symbol of cultural and ethnic mixing.
Adama N'Diaye, priestess of Senegalese design and guardian of the Adama Paris brand, orchestrated this grandiose celebration.
"My heart is filled with infinite joy. My precious treasure, Dakar Fashion Week, has grown into a sumptuous celebration, bringing together twenty exceptional designers. I can't help but feel deep gratitude when I see how this jewel has flourished, making my dream a shared reality", said a moved Adama N'Diaye.
